What happens after an arrest
When someone is arrested, they're first booked into the county jail, this is standard procedure for every arrest. In most cases, the person has to stay overnight, because everyone who's arrested must be arraigned by a judge the following day, usually between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
During the arraignment, the judge sets the official bond amount. Until that happens, no bond can be posted ,so the overnight wait isn't something a bondsman can shortcut. It's simply how the court schedule works. Once we explain this to families, the whole timeline tends to feel a lot less overwhelming.
Our Process
The Bail Bond Process, Step by Step
-

Arrest and booking
The person is taken into custody and booked into the jail, fingerprints, photographs, and personal details recorded.
-

Arraignment and the bond is set
A judge sees the defendant, usually the morning after the arrest, and sets the official bond amount.
-

The jail updates its records
Once arraignments are done, the jail enters all inmate data into its system. No bond can be posted until this is complete, and nothing from the outside can speed it up.
-

We post the bond
This is where we come in. You call us, we gather the details, you sign the paperwork online and pay the 10%, and we post the bond right away.
-

Release
The jail processes the release. How long it takes depends on how busy they are at the time, then your loved one walks out.

Why the wait — and how we help
Most of the clock is the jail's, not ours
We know this waiting period feels stressful and overwhelming. The overnight arraignment wait, the records update, the release processing — those are all set by jail procedure, not by us.
What we control is the part in the middle: posting the bond. The best way to make sure that happens the instant it can is to call us early. The moment you know someone's been arrested, get in touch — we'll gather everything we need and be standing by to post the bond the second the jail finishes updating its records, so not a minute is wasted.
For nearly 30 years, families have trusted us to do exactly that: move quickly, professionally, and without judgment.

Bail Bond Process - FAQs
-
From arrest to release, expect the better part of a day in most cases — largely because of the overnight arraignment wait and the jail's own processing times. The part we handle, posting the bond, takes only minutes once the jail is ready for it.
-
Because bail can't be set until a judge sees them at arraignment, which usually happens the morning after the arrest. If the arrest is in the evening, the wait until the next day is unavoidable — it's the court's schedule, not the bondsman's.
-
Usually one to four hours, depending on how busy the jail is. Booking, paperwork, and shift changes all affect the timing. We'll give you a realistic estimate when you call.
-
The standard rate in Texas is 10% of the total bond amount — so a $5,000 bond costs $500. We quote the exact fee before you sign anything, with no hidden charges.
-
Yes — and you should. Call us as soon as you know about the arrest. We'll get everything ready so we can post the bond the moment records are updated, which can save hours.
